I’ve recently learned that I have blocked oil glands around my eyelids, which is why I get chalazions and styes occasionally. (Note, I don’t have dry eyes.) I’m considering whether or not to have IPL treatment for my Meibomian Gland Dysfunction before getting double eyelid surgery. Even if I don’t have an active chalazion, would MGD affect chances of success and recovery for the double eyelid surgery?
