Will Kybella work on small one sided fat pocket? (Photo)

Question

I am 16 months post partum. I have one small pocket of fat only on my right side of my incision. It’s annoying because it shows in clothes. The scar is very mobile and not restricted at all. The pocket is very soft like fat. I was examined and told kybella on the area. I was also told that lipo could make it look uneven. Not sure what to do And wanted second opinion.

Hello, my name is Ranen and I am an aesthetic nurse at Aesthetic Skin in Chicago.  What you’re describing is very common postpartum.  A small, soft, isolated fat pad along a C-section incision happens frequently. Even if the scar is mobile (great sign), the healing pattern on each side can be uneven, which is why it shows only on one side.  Kybella (deoxycholic acid)
Pros: Works best for very small, well-defined pockets, Non-surgical, No risk of contour irregularities from lipo
Cons: Often requires 2–4 sessions, Causes significant swelling for 1–2 weeks each session, Can cause temporary firmness or lumpiness, Results take months
Not ideal near scars if the tissue is sensitive or thin
Can cause asymmetry if the area isn't extremely well targeted
