Laser treatments will help remove the redness from the scar… IPL or a pulse dye Laser would work the best. If you do nothing, it will simply fade over time. The redness is due to small vessels that are present to help heal the wound. Also, you could consider using an ablative laser such as an erbium or CO2 if it is rough to the touch. If you did have some hypertrophic scarring know that any treatment could cause more hypertrophic scarring. As with anything time can also make a big difference so a watch and wait approach may be appropriate. Good luck!
