I feel there is something odd with my forehead which makes me look soo different than rest of the population. I am not sure if it's high hairline issue. Please tell me which is better hair transplant or forehead reduction surgery? Also do i even have high hairline? I don't want to get anything done if that's not the issue. So please tell me do i have high hairline because my forehead has been bothering me since i was a kid.
Answer: High hairline?? You do not have an abnormally high hairline and in my opinion need no surgery. If you were to have surgery you will be better if you had a hairline lowering. Make sure you see actual hair lines with the hair pulled back when evaluating who to go to.

Answer: Discussion of options The options of a hairline lowering procedure versus hair transplant depend on your individual goals. If you are interested in significantly reducing the length of your forehead, then hairline lowering procedure may be appropriate as hair transplant may take multiple procedures in order to get a density that would look natural in areas currently with no hair. If your goal was to fill in areas with thin hair at the hairline, then hair restoration surgery may be appropriate. I would get a consultation with an experienced hair restoration surgeon to discuss your individual case based on your goals and priorities.

Answer: Hair Loss -- PRP, Progesterone, Stem Cells/ACELL, Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUE), Spironolactone or Finasteride, Rogaine This requires a formal evaluation. For hair regrowth, I suggest the following to my patients: Start Theradome now (see link) and in office PRP/acell, you can do early transplant if you want. You need a formal evaluation to see what type of hair loss you may have. when you have hair loss its best to do a full hormonal workup for internal optimization plus scalp biopsies or scrapings to rule out any stress related, inflammatory, autoimmune or infectious causes of hair loss. In general most people with early hair loss have telogen (stress related) and/or androgenetic (normal aging) and both can be treated with in office treatments like steroid injections, PRP/acell, Exosomes and at home treatments like oral medications, oral vitamins like Viviscal, topical exfoliating sprays like Restorsea, and weekly growth factors like anteagemd. See an expert for an evaluation.

Answer: Hairline adjustment Good Morning nysa.devgan, I hope this message finds you well. I am not sure if these are real images of the person with the query but I am going to assume they are. From what I can gather from your images - you are worried about your exposed forehead being larger for your face. In aesthetic surgery we consider something called the golden ratio where the forehead and the middle third of the face and the lower third should be in equal proportion. In such a condition as to finding that golden ratio distorted, you do have both options on the table of a forehead reduction and a hair transplant. I personally would recommend a reduction surgery so that we dont distort your beautiful natural hairline and give you the naturally slimmer forehead you desire. Although an image is a great starting point , I would recommend a video consultation / in person consultation with a board certified Aesthetic Plastic surgeon to take this forward and thoroughly answer your query. Answer: Length of the frontalis muscle determines hairline position This is considered a normal female hairline. There is a wide variation in women and this is entirely within the spectrum of normal. The length of the frontalis muscle determines the position of the hairline.
