Is my chin too big for my face? F/21(photos)

Question

For years Ive been thinking of getting chin reduction as I always thought it looked too big and makes the lower half of my face look massive.from the side view my jaw goes down instead of forward therefore making my chin appear bigger. Should I be getting chin reduction surgery or am I seeing things?thank you

Thanks for the photos.  I agree with Dr. Eppley that vertical shortening will be helpful, but considering your cephalometrics, I'm not sure you want to have the forward projection enhanced.  Your dental occlusion will need to be evaluated, and it may be wise to consult with several specialists, including a plastic surgeon with craniofacial experience, oral surgeon and/or orthodontist, before committing to cosmetic reshaping.

You do not need a chin reduction, but chin bone reshaping. Meaning your chin is vertically long because it is horizontally short. A sliding genioplasty will bring your chin forward as well as vertically shortening it...thus providing the dimensional reshaping that it needs.

I do not believe you need this procedure. You should contact an orthognathic surgeon for full evaluation.  Xrays are essential.
