Answer: What are the limitations after breast reduction surgery? Helllo, congratulating for choosing to undergo a #breast #reduction! In my opinion, most patients resume normal activity by two weeks however full activity, lifting, sports, and no restrictions is safer at 6 weeks Some discomfort, swelling and discoloration of the #breasts are to be expected for several weeks. Usually, our patients return to almost normal activity within two weeks. The scars at the incision lines typically become reddish and a few weeks after surgery are raised and firm. After a number of months they become pale and soft. After 8-12 months, the scars are relatively inconspicuous. The #nipples and some areas of the skin may be numb or sensitive after surgery. Sensation may return within a few weeks or months, but may be diminished or overly sensitive. I recommend that you avoid driving while using pain relief medications. Your best advisor is your #board #certified #plastic #surgeon. Everyone heals in their own timing. I suggest that you discuss your concerns with your ps. Best wishes!

Answer: Breast reduction surgery recovery Understanding that recovery instructions can vary from patient to patient, in general, I recommend no vigorous activity, no heavy lifting or nothing that you would strain at performing for approximately one week. Small children may climb up into your lap and you may stand with them as long as you do not strain. After the first week if it hurts don't do it, if it's just sore then be cautious for the next two weeks. After three weeks you are approximately 90% healed.

Answer: Breast reductions recovery Hello dear thanks for your post. You will need to take at least one week off from work or school for breast reduction surgery. Some people need two weeks, but each situation varies. Your surgeon will instruct you on follow-up appointments for removing bandages and stitches. While you recover, you'll need to stop physical activities for at least one month after surgery. After breast reduction surgery, you should expect to feel tired and to have breast pain. This is normal. Your surgeon will give you an oral painkiller to ease you through the first few days after surgery. You should also avoid heavy lifting. Some people have an emotional reaction, such as feeling depressed, after the surgery. That can be normal, but make sure you tell your doctor about all your concerns.Good luck :)

Answer: Breast reduction restrictions In general, I tell my patients to limit exertion for abour 3-4 weeks and then they can usually go back to heavy lifting in about 6-8 weeks. Most can go back to light duty within a week or so.
