What is Happening with my Body? Fever and Sick After Breast Reconstruction?

On the 1st of July 2013 I had my operation and I have a tissue expander now. I`ve lived with a fever 100,5 for 2 weeks. I manage it with paracetamol but it slowly goes up again. Inside expander is 220 ml (max 300 ml). Lymph is coming out. Leucocytes are high. Doctor says it is such reaction of my body. He says breast looks good, it is not red. He thinks I dont have infection. Antibiotics didnt help. Do I need to worry? Can it be such answer from my body? Is there any risk to take the expander out?

Free nipple grafts take some time to heal. Hard to say how they will heal at this point. Give them time and perform the aftercare as per your surgeon.

It is hard to predict exact cup size.  Cup size varies a lot depending on different brand and style of bras you buy. With 500cc implant, you may become C or D. I usually tell patients not to worry too much about cc volume.  If you have expanders right now, you want to like the size...
