7 months post OP revision. Is this swelling or fat? Should I be worried at this point? (photos)

had a tummy tuck in April of 2018 and due to failed results a revision was done October of 2018. It seemed to make a difference but now being 7 months post op I am seeing a lot of what could be swelling or fat. I am feeling like this was a total waste and trying to decide if I need to wait it out for at least a year or consider more lipo to improve my results. Some days it's not as swollen but more often than not it is.

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Although, based on your photographs, I understand your concerns, it is still too early to evaluate the long-term outcome of the procedure performed. This is best done one year (and sometimes longer) after the tummy tuck or revision procedure was carried out. It takes this amount of time for swelling to completely dissipate (as the veins and lymphatics returned to complete function) and for muscle tone to improve through abdominal wall strengthening exercises.  Patients who adhere to a healthy diet/exercise program tend to end up with the best outcomes.
 Having said the above, if you remain concerned about your abdominal wall appearance down the line, maneuvers such as additional liposuction and/or skin excision may be helpful.  If abdoimnal wall laxity is part of the problem,  further tightening of the abdominal wall muscles may be indicated.

At 7months there shouldn't be much background swelling. Maybe just a little after a long day or heavy exercise.  It looks like excess fat is present which could be liposuctioned.
