My areola is numb and the color changed. Is this normal?

Hi, Im 45yo with breast reduction (lollipop) on the left side with implant and 2cm incision in mamory fold and breast implant on the right. Let me say they are not completely symetric but they look good. My concern is the left areola is a weird color (a greenish/gray color). The areola is numb but the nipple is nice and pink. When I blanch the area I get blood return. I the color issue from a nerve issue? The left areola is a completely different color from the right. Thank you

blood supply weak to areola can cause color changeswhat you describe is likely an areola whose blood supply has been weakened but it still there (if you get blanching).  Given time your body will regrow blood vessels to it.  The numbness is unlikely to return but not impossible.  At this time all there is to do is wait and allow your body to heal itself
