Was hoping to correct the bump and straighten the septum but he said that is more of a cosmetic concern and was referred to a surgeon that charges 12,000 CAD for the procedure. Had an xray done recently that reported "a minimally displaced and depressed fracture of the left nasal bone. Mild deviation of the bony nasal septum to the right noted. Hypoplastic right frontal sinus noted." Will OHIP cover?

From your description of the cartilage popping in and out I would suggest you book a follow up with your surgeon. Keep in mind that it can take up to a year for the results to show and during the recovery phase it's important to be as gentle as possible.

It is normal to cough up bloody sputum after a rhinoplasty. If it seems excessive you should call your surgeon or go to an emergency room for evaluation.
