I have horizontal wrinkles on my forehead that my makeup tends to settle in. I have hooded eyes and have always wanted a Botox brow lift but I read that doing your forehead and brows at the same time with Botox is counterproductive because the forehead filler can make my eyes seem more droopy, so I’m thinking of just going with a 10 unit brow lift. Do brow lifts help at all with horizontal forehead lines? They’re not very deep, I’m only 23.
Answer: Botox Brow Lift Hi there! Botox works well to provide a small brow lift. We usually inject near the crow's feet and underneath the lateral part of the eyebrow to create a lift. It's subtle in the majority of patients, but some do have an eccentric response we call the "Spock" look. We often treat the forehead at the same time to assist with wrinkle reduction and to prevent excessive elevation of the lateral brow (i.e. "Spocking"). I usually place 4 to 6 units per side to achieve this, but it can vary. This doesn't include what's placed in the forehead. Hope this helps!

Answer: Horizontal forehead lines Horizontal lines on the forehead are a result of the frontalis muscle which helps pull the brow in a vertical direction. Depending on the injection pattern and desired effect the brow may be slightly adjusted. It is recommended you have a discussion with your treating provider on your desired results so that a treatment plan can be made.

Answer: Treatment of the brow and forehead go hand in hand Usually, Botox injection of the forehead as well as the medial brow, what we call the corrugator supercilii muscles, are done at the same time. The reason for this is that preventing the brow from lifting by walking the frontalis muscle within the forehead would lead to an unnatural appearance If not for blocking the corrugator muscle at the same time. Using Botox in these areas can lead to a smoothing of dynamic forehead lines. Forehead lines that are present without movement and be harder to treat. Sometimes peels can help with this but Botox alone unlikely to make them go entirely away

Answer: What you should know about Botox Thank you for your question. Botox is an excellent option for addressing horizontal forehead lines and lines between the eyebrows. When administered, the injections will specifically target facial muscles to reduce movement causing the undesired lines to appear. Botox injections are often combined with dermal fillers to enhance results, provide a lifted appearance, and add volume where necessary. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified injector. They will be able to assess your concerns and suggest the best formulas and dosages that will help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

Answer: Forehead Lines / Wrinkles -- Neuromodulators (Botox/Dysport/Xeomin/Jeuveau), Fillers (Belotero) + Lasers/Microneedling/PRP Neuromodulators (such as Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau) and soft tissue fillers like Belotero can improve the appearance of the forehead by reducing lines, wrinkles and folds. Deeper lines and wrinkles need a combination approach with Botox, fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to develop a treatment plan that works for you. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Botox Each Botox treatment should be tailored by the injector to the patient and the desired results. It is common to get Botox for a brow lift at the same time that the forehead is treated. When an experienced injector is selected you should have natural results without the eyelids drooping. Getting Botox for a brow lift will not improve the forehead.
