Haircut After Rhinoplasty - Brushed Nose? (photo)

Question

Hi I I'm currently 16 days post op after my rhinoplasty and today I decided to get my hair cut. The barber cut my hair great but he used a brush to brush my face of any bits of hair. He also brushed my nose on the bridge and it didn't hurt but for about 10 minutes I could feel a slight throbbing pain on the bridge of my nose no bleeding or anything like that. It's completely fine now... Could this have caused any long term damage? Many thanks for taking your time to look at this for me.

The brushing of the outside of your nose 16 days after rhinoplasty will not cause any damage to your nose.  Your healing should continue as normal.

You should not experience any significant problems related to your encounter while having your haircut.  Although there is likely still persistent edema of the nose and temporary changes in the sensation of the skin of the nose, the light brushing of hair off of the nose will not cause you any long term problems or change the result of the rhinoplasty.

It is noraml to have slight change in the sensation after any surgery including nose surgery , this will improve with time,you will be fine.
