im a 19 year old guy from india.I started to lose my hair when I was 17.Im doing my degree now and so obsessed with my life about losing my hair.friends started to ignore me.they keep me away.can I have a hair transplantation surgery to prevent from going bald completely.Do not advise me propecia I heard it has got more side effects than its uses.

You can have a hair transplant surgery only to your temples.  However you would need an exam by a doctor to make sure you would be a good candidate with realistic goals and expectations.

It would not be appropriate to do a hair transplant on a 19 year old.  Your hair loss has not stabilized and you need to wait until you are older to consider a transplant.

Yes, you can get a hair transplant only on your temples. Hair transplants do not have to be large, nor all or none. Many people do transplants at our Houston center of just a few hundred grafts, while others do thousands of grafts. It is a good idea to get an in person consult and make sure you meet the doctor during the consult.

Your biggest enemy is the
progressive thinning leading to a balding pattern that is not evident at this
point in time. The degree of thinning that you are showing would suggest that
you should see a doctor who most likely will get Bulk Measurements of your hair
to determine the degree of the thinning that you are presently having. If the
diagnosis is early genetic hair loss, then the best treatment would be the drug
finasteride which is highly effective in men of your age and may not only stop
the hair loss but possibly reverse it. If you are developing a more advanced
balding pattern the best test to get will determine the Bulk Measurements of
your hair and this will show, over a one-year time frame, how effective the
treatment will be. Once you know this information, then you and your doctor
need to develop a MASTER PLAN which will define what you need to do over the
years to come.

At age 19 with only loss at the temples, I think you would be foolish to start hair transplantation. If you have the genetics for significant male pattern baldness, you will look abnormal in future years. Transplants do not stop the progression of baldness.
