Sorry to hear about your experience and pain.At this point ibuprofen 400 mg 4 times a day probably is a good idea along with Prevident 5000 fluoride gel.Stay away from anything that stimulates reponce, like hot and cold. Hopefully sensation will return to normal within a cipule of days.Good luck!

Answer: Teeth whitening Hi, sorry to hear about your teeth. Try to take few pain killers as recommended for few days to ease of pain. Also you can use your whitening trays with some good fluoride gel and wear as much as possible to strengthen the enamel. The pain could last few days. To whiten them again, try using a gel with lower strength.

Answer: Whitening Sensitivity See if your dentist will prescribe you a Prescription fluoride paste like Prevident 5000 and use it in your whitening trays for 30 mins before bed. In addition, Ibuprophen 3-4 times per day for a couple of days will help with the discomfort.

Answer: Whitening Sensitivity and Discomfort Leaving the gel on to long or whitening to often can cause the teeth to have considerable sensitivity and discomfort. This reaction is different for everyone as some people have more sensitive teeth than others. The reason for the discomfort on your teeth is that they are dehydrated and need time to rehydrate for the symptoms to go away. In the meantime, hold off on bleaching anymore until the symptoms subside. Some things you can try to speed up the process or reduce the sensitivity:1. Get fluoride gel from your dentist and use in your trays. 2. Try Pronamel toothpaste in your trays. Place a thin layer in your trays and wear for about 15-20 min a few times a day. Good luck!
