Thermage cost for the jawline area only in NYC-NJ area

Question

What is the average cost of Thermage for the jawline area in NYC-NJ area? Note it is just along the jawline, nothing else. I had three vials of Kybella (in two separate sessions) in France and now I want Thermage to tighten the skin even more. Not interested in anything else (like Ulthera, Exilis and so on). This regimen worked very well for a friend of mine in Europe. I know cost vary, but I just want to know the average. Thank you.

Thermage can help improve the jawline but the treatment works best if the full face is treated.  Thermage uses radiofrequency to deliver heat to the skin's dermis which triggers collagen tightening and remodeling.  The result is skin tightening.  If you think about the skin of the face, the sagging seen at the jawline is caused not only by changes in the jawline, but by changes above it.    Look in the mirror and pull the skin up on the side of your face then your midface then your temples.  Each time, the skin of the jawline will be lifted.  So if you simply improve the quality of the skin of the jawline without improving the skin above it, you are shortchanging yourself and will limit your results.Regarding cost, in the NY metropolitan area, treating the face/upper neck with thermage is generally in the range of $2500 - $3500.  Look for a physician's office using the most up to date protocol and tips for thermage.  In 2017, the treatment should not be painful.  The tips used provide excellent even heating of the targeted skin and the CPT (comfort pulse technology) vibration reduces the sensation of that heat.  Treatment with 900 - 1200 pulses is common.  As a result the treatment can be done with medium heat to a patient feedback of about 2 out of 4 (where 0 is no pain and 4 is never do that to me again).  Patients feel the heat but are comfortable.  You see some improvement immediately but more 6 months later.I hope that answer was helpful.  Best wishes.

It sounds like Kybella had a great effect on you and after three treatments you probably just need Thermage to tighten the jowls and neck.  The key to having Thermage work effectively is to consult an expert since it is very technique dependent.  The average price in NY is $3,000 and it takes approximately 90 minutes to perform.  Due to the amount of heat used it can feel warm and have some "hot" spots but is generally well tolerated and does not need any pre-treatment or numbing for the procedure.  We adjust the "heat" based on the patient's pain and the amount of heat that is tolerated.  Please consult an expert in Thermage for the best cosmetic results.  Best, Dr. Green
