Hi, excellent question. It's hard to tell without a full exam and history. However, it looks like a lot of the upper lip filler is above the vermillion border (above the red lip). That's why you may have less volume on the red lip. Depending on how long it's been, it's also possible that the filler migrated up over time. If you don't like the look, can can have the upper lip dissolved and start from a fresh canvas. Hope that helps!

Good Afternoon! Some lips can be difficult to achieve a certain amount of red lip "show" with filler. The anatomy at times makes the lip turn inward more. Trying a different product as well as technique may create better results. Volbella, Kysse, and Ultra work well. There has to be a careful balance between creating volume in the right spots as volume in the white lip looks unsightly. Hope this is useful!

Hi and welcome to our forum!From your photos, I note fullness of the vermillion border of your upper lip (such as shortly after injection) which appears fuller than the red lip itself. There appear to be indentations at the surface of the red lip to either side of midline, noted also to a lesser extent in the preinjection photo.. If the red lip itself was not previously injected, you may benefit from a secondary injection. If the red lip was injected but resisted fill, there may be an underlying congenital lip pit or the presence of internal scarring impeding flow of the filler.Without a physical examination, I cannot comment further.If distressed about your temporary appearance, hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with injections of hyaluronidase (an enzyme).Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and discussion.Best wishes...
