Hi, I am 5'3", 155lbs, 20 yrs old with 38H breasts. I do plan to lose weight once the surgery is done after having plenty of healing time(hard to exercise now with the big breasts), would it be suitable to go from a 38 H to a full C cup? I do plan on going back to my normal size of 130-135lbs.
Answer: It is reasonable to have a breast reduction from and H cup to a C cup. This size changes easily accomplished. I don't think any antecedent weight loss will have much effect on the operation.

Answer: Ultimate Breast Reduction™ At size 38 each 200 grams corresponds to 1 cup size change. You would require 1000 grams removal from each side to achieve a 38 C.This size may be disproportionate for your body and may look inappropriately small.I recommend a new technique called The Ultimate Breast Reduction™.The breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. The weight of the breast is transferred to the underlying muscle resulting in immediate pain relief without excessive reduction. This technique avoids the ugly vertical scars of the traditional technique, maintains nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Weight Loss After Breast Reduction Thank you for your question. While going to a C cup is reasonable, if you lose a significant amount of weight after a breast reduction, your breast size will also go down. This may in fact take you down to a B cup or less with significant weight loss. You may want to consider going to a D cup and losing the rest with diet and exercise. Once you have been reduced, the only way to go back up is with an augmentation so it may be a good idea to be a bit more conservative about the reduction. You don't want to over-reduce the breasts. Best wishes.

Answer: Breast reduction sizing Hi - without seeing you, or photos of your breasts it is difficult to give you comments other than generalizations. Cup sizing is VERY variable, so I never guarantee what cup size a patient will be after surgery, but use it as a guide as to what you would ideally like to be. For you it sounds like a very reasonable size and goal from your surgery, though. As a surgeon, I would also try to make your breasts of a size that suits the rest of your body - conscious of the fact that you may lose some weight after the surgery & also lose a small amount of breast volume too. Try to find a surgeon that you can have open discussions about your aims with. All the best with your journey. Regards Kim Taylor

Answer: Breast reduction Being super large means you can not get super small. A "C" may not be reasonable if you are that large to maintain a good shape. Best to be seen in person to be properly evaluated.
