I'm looking on getting this surgery this summer. I am a dancer and am wondering how long I would have to sit out of physical activity. I am very insecure about my profile. I'm 17 years old. Thank you so much. Feel free to leave my any other advice!!

If you had already consulted an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, and if he adviced you to get a sliding genioplasty done, then the cost of this surgery in India ranges from USD2000 to USD 3000.Initial swelling post surgery subsides within a week, but some amount of swelling remains until first 45 days. You may resume your activities from 2nd week onwards.However, I would need to see you clinically along with some facial bone xrays (cephalograms) to diagnose the actual problem and propose appropriate treatment plan.
