Red patch over tear trough filler area, injected 4 months ago. What can this be?

I had dermal filler in my tear troughs 4 months ago. No issues until a few weeks ago. I noticed a red patch over the area that received dermal filler, under my right eye. It lasted a few days and seemed to go away. This morning it is back again. It looks like I have been hit in the face. No pain and does not feel lumpy. But it does look a little crepe paper like. Any suggestions?

Though I cannot say for certain without more information and an exam, I suspect you simply had the wrong filler injected in the wrong place. You certainly had the wrong filler, and most injectors placing them under the eyes place them superficial above the orbital ligament, which is the wrong...
