1 day after alarplasty and STILL looks the same. Any suggestions?

I willl preface my answer by saying that it is extremely early in the postoperative process and you should relay your concerns to your plastic surgeon.  With that being said, I always create a "simulation" so that I am ensuring that I can meet the realistic expectations of my patients.  There have been times when the simulation I have created may not be what the patient wants; this way these concerns are addressed prior to making a single incision.  Seek out a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon that will accurately assess you, create a "simulation" and formulate a plan tailored for your wishes.  Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your frustration, however let me first say that nobody who is getting a modification of their nose will see the results they desire the first day. In fact, the vast majority will not see it in the first month. It can take up to a year to see the final result. The Key is to let it heal. Anyone who things their nose will be perfect after 1 day has false expectations and its important to try to give it time. As for digital imaging, this is something I use but again, its meant as a guide. Noone can guarantee a nose result, however the imaging is very effective for communication purposes. I hope you get the result you desire once the swelling as resolved,James P.
