For several years now I have had bumpy armpits . The scars left behind are kind of deep as if I run my finger over it , I can feel a hole . I started to exfoliate with 2% salicylic acid body wash and apply a brightening toner underneath my pits a few day’s ago . I would like to know if there are any at home and in office procedure I can do or perform to at least lessen the severity

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.

Hair follicles need to be removed with laser hair removal. Pigmentation can be improved with peels like Cosmelan and enlighten, vivatia foam, restorsea 10X, and reve skin acne purifying enhancer. in the shower jan Marini glycolic scrub is best. Dermal infusion and peels like Reve fresh or salicylic acid helps in the office. Hello, it looks to me like you are suffering from ingrown hairs.  My recommendation to you would be to start laser hair removal treatments.  As the hair stops growing you should notice much less irritation in the area.  Good luck!
