My bonded retainers are digging into my tongue, what am I meant to do?

A few weeks ago i felt as if my bottom bonded retainers are digging into my tongue, so i quickly made an orthodontics appoint but sadly its in February. What am i meant to do because its really hurting my tongue? Please help.

Aisha,    If you're in pain, you should be able to explain to your orthodontist that you need to be seen because your retainer is cutting your tongue. That is usually a pretty quick fix for them.    In the meantime, you can buy orthodontics wax at the grocery store or pharmacy (or get some from your orthodontist). Place a ball of wax on the broken/sharp part of the wire to prevent it from digging into your tongue.Hope you feel better soon.

just call yr orthodontist and tell him  that its hurting. other wise it will result in painful ulcer. or u can use relief was to prevent trauma.
