Is microliposuction effective at debulking the overfilled fat? (Photos)

Question

As part of my gender transition, I have underwent several procedures one of them was fat grafting. The fat grafting i received was done poorly and injected in regions of my face I didn’t even want. It was recommended by the doctor and ultimately performed by the doctor which left me with a very puffy unbalanced appearance. My main questions are; Is microliposuction effective at debulking the overfilled fat? The fat was placed primarily along my nasolabial folds and cheek. It appears to be a very pinch able noticeable pocket, especially when I smile. Would this area react well to treatment? How much CC can be removed from the initial graft? Procedure was done 11 months ago

It would be best to start reduction of over grafted areas with liposuction. Once grafts are matured ( one year after surgery) it may be possible to remove as much of fat as needed. Good luck.

I’m sorry the result has left you feeling uncomfortable, particularly in areas you did not want changed. At 11 months, an assessment for correction is reasonable, especially if your facial volume and weight have been stable.
Microliposuction can reduce localized excess fat in selected patients, but the cheek and nasolabial region require particular caution. A soft, pinchable area may be treatable, yet this alone does not confirm that it is a superficial pocket of grafted fat. Scar tissue, native cheek fat, and movement during smiling can also contribute. Your photos cannot reliably distinguish these.
Transferred fat becomes integrated with your existing tissues, so it cannot simply be removed as a separate layer. There is no reliable way to calculate how many cc of the original graft can safely be removed from photographs or from the amount initially injected. The goal should be gradual contour improvement rather than removing a predetermined volume.
Overaggressive treatment can create hollows, unevenness, skin tethering, or injury to nearby nerves. A conservative, sometimes staged correction may therefore be preferable.
