Can PRP really thicken skin? I am 44 and have thinning skin, especially around the eye area although the face & neck too.

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) contains
growth factors and cytokines that have been proven in numerous peer-reviewed
studies to be extremely effective in reducing fine lines and wrinkles on
the face, especially around the eyes. When combined with micro-needling,
the results can be unrivaled in the stimulation and production of new collagen
and elastic fibers in the skin.However, there
are now much better products to use during micro-needling than PRP because PRP
is strongly pro-inflammatory (not good). In my office we do all of our
micro-needling treatments using a serum from ProCell Therapies that is specially made for this purpose
which contains high concentrations of growth factors derived from human bone
marrow stem cells.Micro-needling creates invisible
micro-perforations in the upper layers of the skin which enhances penetration
of topical serums and medications, dramatically increasing their effectiveness.
Up to 80% of product can penetrate the skin compared to 7 to 10% with normal
