Question

I'm an asian male and the incision line seems a bit higher than usual. My surgeon said she did it at 6.8mm but it looks high and now it creates extra fold in between (3months PO) Will this be better after 6 months or do I need a revision

It is also a matter of what you do inside the eyelid. For many eyelids making a conservative low incision is good and not much more needs to be done. However not all eyelids are created equal. Many eyelids need crease reconstruction, repair of a disinserted levator aponeurosis that slips in many of these eyelids, or creation of a hard crease between the eyelid platform skin and the tendon that raises the eyelid that smooths the eyelid platform skin, called an anchor blepharoplasty. Your eyelids are missing these details. I am in the business of revision botched eyelids including double folds. This work can be revised to help you realize your goals.

Although an in-person exam would be necessary to provide a definitive answer, based on the photo you have provided it does appear you would be a suitable candidate for revision upper blepharoplasty to re-create a more defined crease. However, 3 months post-op is still fairly early to consider a revision. If you want the best idea of what is possible for your eyes, do your due diligence, find an experienced surgeon, and have him/her evaluate you in person and discuss your options. #drdonyoo
