10 weeks PO. The right hasn't dropped and is firmer. Is this capsular contracture?

10 weeks post op breast lift/augmentation & the left is perfect but the right hasn’t dropped yet and is much firmer. Is this normal or is it possibly capsular contracture? Mesh was used and on the same breast there is hardness underneath that feels like scar tissue. Could these two be related?

I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery.

It’s unclear what is causing one breast to be firm while the other has softened up. Often this is normal and will soften over a few months. However, it is important to ensure that this is not early capsular contracture. I advise you to follow up with your plastic surgeon for an in person visit to further evaluate this. Best of luck.
