Erbium (unless fully ablative sciton) doesnt work well for syringomas. Co2 or dessication with radiowave does really well. please see someone with expertise. Best, Dr. Emer.
The Erbium- YAG laser is not my first choice for syringomas aroundthe eye. Our practice typically uses a fractional CO2 laser that is moreablative for deeper penetration into the dermis, which is where syringomas lie.However, Erbium-YAG lasers are still in the ablative category andyou may see some improvement using this laser for syringomas. With this laser,you will see less downtime, less scabbing, less weepiness, less peeling, andless bleeding after a treatment session. Since the Erbium-YAG laser does notpenetrate as deeply as the CO2 laser, it's my second choice for use onsyringomas for eradication of these pesky, benign lesions.

The YAG laser penetrates the superficial layer of the skin. If Juvederm was placed in this superficial layer, it would dissolve the Juvederm. Typically, Juvederm is injected below this layer and would be safe from the YAG laser.
