Hi! I had an extraction of tooth #11? (front left fang), bone graft and stitches exactly one week ago. It was a really rough first few days and just the day before yesterday stopped hurting really bad. Here on day 7, pain is gone with ibprofin. This morning when I rinsed, I saw the piece of white bone that has been in there since the first day. Tonight, I went in to rinse and it was gone! Just a large hole. I am absolutely petrified and don't want to look at it again. Is this normal?

Hello!
If it's just a week after your graft, I don't see a reason to be too concerned about. From what you're describing it sounds like it could be some of the grafting material. You can always go into your dentist and have them take a look too.
Good luck!

There could be two reasons the stitch fell out, either you have healed rapidly and it's fallen out on its own or the stitch has come undone. To be on the safe side, I would call your dentist and have them examine the area.
Good luck!
