Hello, I am very sorry to hear of your complications during your time of healing. To answer your question, this is not a good situation. If not attended to by placing another graft and/or implant with a fixed temporary immediately, you run the risk of having collapse of the bone on the lip side of your tooth. Should this heal this way, you will require more extensive bone grafting, possible tissue grafting, and subsequent multiple procedures that will most likely result in a less than ideal appearance of your final smile. It is a very common procedure in our office to remove a tooth, especially in the front where your smile is seen, to immediately place an implant in conjunction with the bone graft and place a temporary on the implant at the same appointment. Generally this is done without incisions or sutures. I would ask your provider if this is an option for you, this way you can have a full smile without missing teeth which will also help the healing process.
