Are there any Fraxel type lasers that can be used on medium brown to dark skin to resurface skin?

I have large pores, rough texture, small blackheads, hyperpigmentation. I’m 35 year old African American female. I don’t want to look 35. Please help, thank you

The answer to your question is yes. At my office, the Dr.U Hair and Skin Clinics in Los Angeles, we use the Fraxel Dual laser system which is safe enough for patients of all ethnic groups. The technology uses longer energy wavelengths, 1550nm and 1927nm, which are not easily absorbed by this pigment and minimizes the risk of overheating the skin which is more likely to occur with patients of color who have more melanin. While the choices for African American skin are more limited, there are treatments that can produce excellent results for darker skin tones without risk for side effects.
