Frequency to change trays with Acceledent?

I see on here that with Acceledent that most people say they are able to change their trays out weekly. I have 36 sets of aligners and an Acceledent. My orthodontist has me changing the trays out twice a week. I haven't seen anyone say that twice a week is ok. Is this a new technique?

Typically with the use of acceledent or Vpro5 we are reducing wear time to 7 days from the traditional 14 days for most moderate to severe cases.  In instances of refinements or mild cases we may reduce further to 5 days.  In conjunction with Propel MOPS procedure we further reduce moderate and severe cases to 5 day of wear time and refinement and mild cases to 3 days.

Hi and thank you for your great question. I would says that each case is different. In my office I recommend 1 week wear instaed of 2 , when patient is using Acceledent with moderate and difficult movements of the teeth. When movements are easy, on occasion, we can go down to 3-4 days.Hope this helps.

Went to my ortho to get my second set of trays and he asked me to double up on elastics. He was happy w bit progress. Normal?
