Gums irritated after composite veneers. 2 days after. Any insight? Looking for a second opinion (photo)

this is due to the fact that the composite overpasses the limit as far as they could reach and is starting the process of inflammation due to the invasion of the material. I suggest you visit your dentist and tell him to eliminate this excess before the disease develops in your gums.

It may be that the veneers need to smoothed out a little more right at the gums. Or it could be your gums having an issue with the material used. Sometimes certain materials are incompatible with certain people.

Did you have gum tissue removed with a laser to heighten the bondings? If so, it appears to be normal.  The tissue color change will fade after a few days. Bleeding is common after that type of procedure.  If bleeding persists longer than 2 weeks, the composites may need re-contoured at the gumline. 

If before the veneers you did not bleed or were irritated, the veneers should not cause this problem.Wait at the most 5 or 6 days because at the beginning this can happen.If these days continue with the same symptoms, you should urgently consult your doctor

I would certainly make a followup appointment. There may be some remnants of the bonding cement that just needs to be smoothed out. 

Hey Texas, Love your state. Once lived in Galveston. Most likely the veneers are too bulky at the gum line. If they are simply thinned down by a dentist, the gums should be fine. Let your dentist take a look.
