How to fix hooded eyes? (Photo)

Question

I’ve had hooded eyes my whole life but they’ve progressively got heavier. I’m only 27 and they age me. Mornings and nights they’re the puffiest, ofc. But it makes my entire face so heavy. I don’t want to do eyelid surgery. What are other alternative that can give me a lift? No surgery needed.

Hi, thank you for you question. Based on your photos it does appear you have some excess upper eyelid skin. The best option to correct this is surgical with the removal of this excess skin (upper blepharoplasty). The incision and resulting scar is typically well hidden within the upper eyelid crease and is not noticeable unless your eyes are close. Botox could be used alternatively to relax muscles along the brow and raise the lateral (outside) edge of the brow to lift the eyebrows, unfortunately this oftentimes will only provide modest improvement and may give you an exaggerated unnatural appearing brow shape. You might wish to explore "The Ten Minute Eyelift,"  which literally takes ten minutes to perform using only local anesthesia, and is minimally invasive (i.e. requires no scalpel cutting and no stitches).
