66, Morpheus8 treatment for loose skin caused by Morpheus8? (Photo)

I had 3 Morpheus 8 treatments on my face, abdomen, thighs and upper arms. I am 66 and wanted to tighten skin, not lose fat. After 3 treatments each, my thighs and arms are thinner but the skin is looser. I think too much fat was removed, is that possible? I went to a different provider who said that a few more Morpheus treatments with different settings can tighten the skin without taking more fat. Is this true?

Unfortunately your assumption is correct. Most “skin tightening“  devices wind up destroying subcutaneous fat which in fact leads to looser skin. It’s like deflating a balloon of air- it becomes loose and deflated. It may be ok to lose fat at a younger age because of the skin’s elasticity but not at an advanced age when the elasticity is no where the same. I don’t believe that more treatments will be helpful. Morpheus 8 uses energy which can cause some fat loss. An experienced person would know the correct settings or the proper technique to avoid that. Morpheus 8 has different tips with different length of needles. A more superficial treatment will be better for skin tightening.
