Forehead Swollen Like a Balloon After Endo Brow Lift?

  Day 4 after endoscopic browlift is the peak of swelling and your forehead may well look like a balloon.  If there is concern of fluid collection or something else, the plastic surgeon should be contacted.

Hard to determine without photos.  Swelling is normal after surgery.  We tell our patients to keep their head elevated and ice.  Each surgeon is different.  Please contact your surgeon and tell him/her your concerns to make sure nothing untoward is going on.  

In general, swelling is normal after a brow lift. This is especially the case after only 4 days. However, what you describe does not sound normal. Even though you are very early in the healing process, this is not normal recovery. It's important that you visit your plastic surgeon or seek a second opinion immediately to make sure you are not suffering from an infection or botched surgery.

This type of swelling that you are describing is not normal after a browlift, endoscopic or not. This could very will represent a hematoma [blood collection]. You should be at your doctors office by now, hopefully. If not, should be be picking up a phone and calling him/her.

I am sorry that you are having difficult time after your surgery. It's normal to have mild swelling right after surgery at surgical site. If the swelling is significant then you may have hematoma this early in the postop course. It's very important that you inform your surgeon about your condition, especially when it's not the normal expected course. If you can't close your eyes completely then it's an urgent matter.

While it would be considered normal to have some swelling after an endoscopic forehead lift, it should not be swollen like a balloon.  A picture would be helpful to determine if the amount of swelling you have is within normal range or not.  I would recommend contacting your surgeon to make sure that everything is okay.  It is possible that some blood may have collected under the skin and if this is the case, it should be treated as soon as possible.  

Thanks for your question.  There is no way for me to specifically answer your question without seeing at least a photo.  However, following this procedure it is very normal to have swelling that can be (temporarily) fairly significant.  If you are having specific concerns I would contact your physicians office and make sure they are aware of your situation.

Some swelling is expected after any kind of surgery and this is necessary for healing. A visit to your surgeon may be necessary to make sure this is the case

A picture would be very helpful, since what may seem extremely swollen to a patient may be within the normal range of outcomes.  It is important to make sure that you don't have a hematoma, which would require an immediate correction.  It is best to see your surgeon promptly for evaluation.  Best of luck.
