I’m 28 f. Never have been pregnant. Average weight. I’m pretty sure I have tuberous breasts but just want confirmation. Is it possible to get fat transfer to correct? I’m worried implants won’t feel like real breast tissue. Also if I were to get a nipple reduction would that effect nipple sensitivity? The areolas also shrink significantly when cold or aroused, would that affect the procedure? Thank you!
Answer: Tuberous breasts Your L breast has tuberous or constricted breast deformity but not your R. Fat grafting unfortunately cannot give you the volume you need to give your smaller L breast more projection. I would recommend an implant on the L side with a periareolar lift and a vertical lift on the R side without an implant.

Answer: Age 28, do I have tuberous breasts & can fat transfer correct them? Hello @Good301076, thank you for your question and showing your pictures. The nipple can be repositioned so as to improve its shape with minimal scarring, as well as using the mammary gland and fat you have to give it the best shape. For more information and recommendations, it is prudent to consult with one or several board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.

Answer: Bellesoma Method Your breasts are not tuberous but low on the chest wall, asymmetrical in volume, shape and position. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. The areolas can be reduced to the size you desire. At the same time, the larger breast can be reduced to match the smaller one or fat transfers can be performed on the smaller breast to match the larger one. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast surgery Dealing with the asymmetry will be One issue you have with surgery. As far as fat grafting is concerned I suggest reading up On fat transfer, it’s success and drawbacks before having it done. Generally speaking it is not as great as you may think

Answer: Tuberous breasts Dear Good301076, tuberous breasts are not simply small or underdeveloped breasts. The appearance of the breast can range from mild to severe, and typical traits include: enlarged, puffy areola, rather wide spacing between the breasts, very little breast tissue, sagging, higher than normal inferior breast fold, and narrow base at the chest wall. The type of surgery best for you will depend on the severity of your condition. My preferred technique for tuberous breast correction involves a multistep procedure where the breast tissue is released in a radial pattern to prevent herniation into the areola and placement of a custom implant size is in the breast to allow appropriate expansion of the breast in the restricted dimensions. This can often be done in a single procedure but sometimes may require two surgeries. That said, it is best that you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in person examination. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
