Flying overseas post CO2 laser?

Question

I live in the UK and prefer to get Co2 laser done in the U.S. Ideally, I'd like to enjoy my time in the U.S. for a week and then get Co2 lasering done on my last day. Would it be ok to fly back to England from the East Coast the same day I get lasered? I'm not worried about pain. Thank you!

CO2 laser resurfacing of the face can be done to different depths.  If you were having a fairly superficial resurfacing, I think it would be okay to fly home the same day.  If you were having a deeper resurfacing where the outer layers of your skin were actually removed, I would not fly home the same day.  With a fairly aggressive CO2 treatment, it can take a week or so before the new skin forms.  In this case, I would wait a week before flying home.
