Follow up appointments after overseas rhinoplasty. Would local surgeons be willing/able to do the follow up appointments?

I am getting a rhinoplasty done overseas (in my home country since they have more experience with my type of nose and it's a third of the price) but from what I read, there's not much aftercare/follow-up after the procedure. Would local surgeons be willing/able to do the follow up appointments and generally how much would that cost per appointment? Is this something I should schedule before getting the rhinoplasty done?

The most common reason why somebody visits us after rhinoplasty abroad is either to have their sutures removed, or because they have concerns about their final result. Sometimes people will visit us because their surgeon from abroad recommends a steroid injection. In general, it is best to keep your rhinoplasty specialist close to home, since small irregularities are definitely magnified by large distances. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

If you're planning an overseas rhinoplasty, all of your follow-up appointments need to be done with your operative surgeon. You're not gonna be able to find a local surgeon that's going to do your follow up care

I do not recommend people travel long distances for elected surgical procedures, and do not recommend leaving the country for any surgical procedure.
People seem to not understand the importance of having multiple in person consultations when vetting providers properly, the number of patients who will have significant concerns after surgery, the importance of in person follow up, the number of patients who will end up needing revisions or that complications actually happen.
I don’t think local plastic surgeons will be excited about doing your aftercare. 
After care is included in the cost of surgery, and each surgeon is responsible for taking care of their own patients after they do surgery.
