I am a mouth breather which caused me to have an open bite. I went through braces but the doctors didn't notice I had a tongue thrust until my braces were taken off, and my teeth have begun to shift back and nothing has been done. I absolutely hate my chin and side profile, because it is very long and I am extremely self-conscious about it. Are there any nonsurgical options to adjust the maxilla and mandible + improve my appearance or is surgery the way, like a sliding genioplasty for example.
