Buried DIEP flap breast reconstruction?

Question

Looking for a plastic surgeon to perform a buried diep flap for bilateral mastectomy reconstruction with minimal abdominal scarring. A large abdominal scar & patched breasts do nothing for regaining my sense of femininity. Fat grafting was considered but takes up to a 1-1/2 yrs to complete & 6 liposuction surgeries. Implants were disgarded due to significant scar tissue from chemo port & allergy to plastic. Photos of your work would be appreciated & very helpful in making my decision.

Many times we use an incision in the fold to approach the breast in nipple preserving procedures.  I use the VIOPTIX monitoring system which needs a small area to monitor the flap.  At a 2 to 3 month window we evaluate the results and decide on size and shape discrepancies and move forward with fat grafting and removal of any visible flap skin along with scar revisions. Buried DIEP flaps can be done for patients that are either pre-expanded, or are a nipple or skin sparing reconstruction. The scar on the abdomen will be like a modified tummy tuck scar usually a bit higher than a standard tummy tuck.
