Imitrex prior to surgery?

I am scheduled next week to have a revision done. I have tertible migraines and am wonderingwhether or not I can take imitrex in the weeks prior to surgery. I have 4 surgeries with genereal anesthesia. I was told prior to surgery not to use ibuprophen or naproxen etc I have a terrible migraine now for two days Imitrex is NOT on the list of forbidden meds from my surgeon. I'm going to have to take some but how dangetous is this or is it fine? Don't say ask your surgeon please.

Thanks for your question.  My simple answer is why mess up a good result and have the chance to run into complications and problems that may in turn become a disaster.  I think that since you are petite then I would stick with what you have!
