Is PicoWay 1064 nm a safe/effective way to remove my upper eyeliner tattoo? (photos)

Question

The black eyeliner tattoo is 4.5 years old and the “taupe” flesh colored tattoo is 1.5 years old. The eyeliner includes a wing, which I did not ask for. Attempted to remove it with saline removal, which did not work, and then July 2018 there was an attempt to camouflage the tattoo with taupe flesh color. I am afraid that laser tattoo removal will oxidize due to titanium dioxide and iron oxide. Should I proceed with removal of upper eyeliner and wing? Thank you

Hello, It is difficult to say what is possible with a small pinpoint photo, but laser should be of some help to you.  Of course we would recommend an in-person consultation to really see the area in question.  Generally, laser tattoo removal works very well to remove dark colors, but not well for flesh-colored taupe colors.  Please take a look at our before and after eyebrow tattoo removal photos.   If there is enough brown or red pigment mixed in, you may get some lightening with the 1064 or 532 wavelengths.  It is a standard of care that you were internal metal eyeshields or laser work this close to the eye.  They look like metal contact lenses and are applied with a lidocaine gel, to reduced discomfort and scratching of the eye surface.  We recommend  seeing an expert for any procedures near the eye.  Best of luck!
