Subcision on temples and forehead? Could they hit a nerve?

In my opinion, find a expert who deals with acne scarring on a regular basis. It it is common to raise the area with anesthetic to avoid involving the nerves. Subcision is a safe and effective treatment for tethered acne scars when performed by a experienced practitioner.

The temporal branch of the facial nerve crosses in this region but as long as the physician remains superficial, there will be no issues at all.  Best of luck

Subcision is relatively superficial and should not damage facial nerves. If you remain concerned, I recommend following up with your practitioner. Keep in mind, rolling scars need a combination of subcision with lasers, microneedling/prp, Cosmelan and fillers to get the most improvement. Best, Dr. Emer

There are indeed nerves in this area and this would be considered a danger zone in my practice. There are safe areas within these zones but I would recommend discussing this with the surgeon who plans to do the procedure. 

Yes, there are many nerves in that area- see a dermatologist or plastics, as we operate all the time in the area and know the depth and anatomy. Subcsion is more superficial, whilst your motor nerves run deep in this area. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
