they seem to be helping me quite a bit. would it be alright to continue the rogaine and laser treatments after the treatment? the physician seemed unclear.

As Dr. Moore has stated you can begin these treatments after the PRP but might want to wait at least a few days for the micro needling holes to epithelialize (cover over).  These are great additions to the treatment above and are recommended to continue after the PRP. If you are not already taking a daily hair supplement like Viviscal or Hair/Nail (with biotin, zinc), then I would recommend starting one.  All of these treatments work together and are not counteracting each other.

Usually these treatments can be resumed a few days later.The research performed and the anecdotal evidence would suggest that thickness of hair and density can improve with PRP injections.  The number of sessions as well as the quality of PRP obtained will vary considerably physician to physician.

Prp is effective, but I have a very specific protocol, every 3-4 weeks for 6 months with prp therapy.  I also add in progesterone to speed the healing process.  After that the injections are tailored down.  You should also be on viviscal and other growth promoting ingredients. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question. Yes, I would continue your HairMax and Rogaine treatments. If micro-needling with a skin pen type device was performed you may want to wait 2-3 days before resuming the Rogaine therapy. We place all of our PRP patients under a low level laser device immediately following their PRP treatment to enhance blood flow to the scalp.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
