Can filler or Sculptra be injected into the corner under my nostrils?
Answer: NO- I Recommend Rhinoplasty | Plastic Surgery Nosejob Expert | How Raise Nostrils | Filler Liquid | Beverly Hills Los Angeles Hello and thank you for your question. Addressing the shape of your nose (especially the nostrils and nasal tip) is actually one of the most common reasons people seek out and undergo a rhinoplasty. Unfortunately, there are no good non-surgical approaches which would properly achieve what you're looking for (and the ones that exist- e.g. nasal filler- carry the risk of blindness, especially in this location because of how close the blood vessels are)! An open septorhinoplasty can best address both your aesthetic concerns and any functional issues with your nose. I would be able to adjust the size, shape, and definition of your nose (including the nostrils, and tip)! This truly a surgery of millimeters- and whether you're looking for a minor adjustment or a major transformation, it requires exceptional surgical skill to achieve functional and natural-looking results! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually). I recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with rhinoplasties) to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate your options, and develop a personalized plan just for you. I hope this helps! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Southern California Facial Platsic Surgeon Injection Expert....Filler in the corner of nostrils? Hello Princess, Sculptra is commonly injected at the corner of the nose along with injecting it throughout the face. If I am treating a patient for facial rejuvenation, I almost always inject Sculptra on the bone at the corner of the nose. Adding filler at the corner of the nose helps alleviate the naso-labial fold. Sculptra in this area requires multiple treatments separated by 8 to 12 weeks. For a patient who only wants this area treated, I would recommend having 0.5 ml of a hyaluronic acid filler such as Restylane Lyft or Voluma injected on the bone instead. This an area that should only be injected by an expert physician injector as it must be done carefully and properly to avoid catastrophic complications. Feel free to contact our office with any further questions or concerns. Good luck and be well. Michael Persky, MD Encino, CA

Answer: Filler For The Pyriform Fossa (Hollow At Base Of Nose) A Common Practice The use of a robust HA filler into the hollow at the base of the nose (the top of the smile fold) called the pyriform fossa is a common procedure in the hands of an experienced filler injector. Very often filling this area is the first step BEFORE directly treating the whole smile fold, since often the latter will not be necessary. Because of the important vasculature in this area, treating this area should be left to the hands of an experienced board certified filler physician, such as a cosmetic dermatologist. Results are typically immediate and the treatment engenders little to no post-treatment downtime. Sculptra , which is relatively expensive, and requires usually three treatment sessions, does not yield immediate results and I no longer use this product. Hope this helps and best of luck.
