When can I use a product called Silcskin after botox treatment? (photo)

Question

I just got botox today, I had been using a product called silcskin, which is a medical grade silicone skin pad you put on problem wrinkle areas. Is it and when would it be ok to resume using it again after botox? Botox says not to manipulate the skin for a few hours after the injection.

I recommend following up with your injector about their protocols for product use after your procedure. You can apply skin care, creams, etc. on your face within a few hours after Botox. I recommend being gentle with your application. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Great question! Typically, after 3 hours you should have no problems with topical skin treatments. Enjoy!

Since the product requires that you rub it on it would be best to wait until the next day to start using it again

You would be wise to wait for 24 hour period from time of injection just to be safe. Any massage of the injected area could lead to some spread of the Botox and heavy brow sensation. Best, Dr. M
