Infini for Festoon treatment?

This was just presented at the American Society for dermatologic surgery meeting. I don't know of any published articles. It appears that multiple treatments of festoons with infini seem to be effective. It's important to distinguish between festoons and malar fat pads as the latter have not been successfully treated.Cosmeticskin.com 

I am not aware of any studies of using the infini for festoons. I have used both the CO2 and erbium yag laser to treat this problem with some good results. It makes sense to me that the infini would help this problem since it tightens the skin by increasing collagen production. I would talk to your doctor about this.

I have been treating festoons with Infini with good results. It will cause a heating and contraction of the deeper tissue and tightening of the skin. Since nothing is very good, at least this option gives some results. It is quick and without much discomfort. Make sure that there is no bulk heating - allow for enough time between passes for the heat to dissipate. Count on about 3-4 treatments.
