I have a facial mole above my upper lip and have consulted a plastic surgeon about removing it. He suggested the shaving method, although I did want to excise it. He insists it results in better healing and less scaring. I do scar dark as I have a medium complexion. I am wondering what the healing process for this procedure is like. I have scheduled it for next week, but I am concerned about it being during the summer and trying to avoid the sun. Should I wait until the winter?
