At 19 years of age, it would be a good idea to monitor it through the years and this can be done by taking similar photos every 6-12 months to compare. If thinning does become apparent, there are a few preventive medications that can be started, however it is not recommended at this time.

The other option is to keep taking photos every 6-12 months to track any changes in density that might be occurring. The crown part can be tricky and even a mild telogen effluvium (rather than balding) could make it look a bit thinner. Be sure to see a hair loss specialist to review if recent stress, low iron, thyroid problems, new medications in the last 2 years, smoking, infections (covid etc) could account for perceived concerns.
