Hi,Thanks for the post and photo. You may be having areolar graft healing issues given the fact that there is an odor. There does not appear to be frank infection based on the photo. The grafts will declare themselves by the time they are 1 month old. If there is partial or even complete graft loss, once the area heals, medical tattooing is a very good option to get color and shape match to the other side. Nipple areolar graft necrosis is a possible complication of this procedure, especially in smokers. 
I would recommend that you discuss this question with your surgeon.
